Hello Lincoln Prep Families. I very much hope you are enjoying your break! I have a few things matters on my list that can’t wait until school starts, so let’s get right down to it…..
Let’s all take a look at that lunch sign up here. Yikes, right? Please sign up for lunch. Grab your calendar, call your best volunteer buddy and please help fill in the sign up for this quarter. I realize we are all in vacation mode and just haven’t gotten around to signing up yet, but we could really use some help so that the student body is not subject to peanut butter and jelly (that you will be packing of course) for the quarter. Thank you in advance. I know we will pull through!
Again, please sign up for lunch HERE.
We will be serving lunch to our hard-working teachers during conferences tomorrow, Thursday January 4th, and Friday January 5th. We will be providing pizza and salad to the staff on Friday, so that’s covered. Tomorrow, we are serving a baked potato bar. The sign up looks great; THANK YOU ALL! There are still a couple of slots to fill if you are available to donate anything. You don’t even need a fingerprint clearance or a badge. You just need some potatoes and a crockpot, or perhaps some nacho cheese if that suits you better. Kindly view that sign up here.
If you would like to do some volunteer work that does require a fingerprint clearance and badge, and you don’t have those credentials, there will be a fingerprinting session at Lincoln Prep on Wednesday, January 24th from 10:30am to 12:30pm. Fingerprint clearance is required to work on campus, and it can take weeks to get cleared. Please do this soon so that you can volunteer. More information about fingerprinting can be found on our Volunteer Page.
In two weeks, on Wednesday, January 17th, we will have the first PSO general meeting of 2018 after morning drop off. Is your New Years resolution to become more active in your child’s school? Would you like to take more ownership in your child’s education here at Lincoln Prep? Would you like to be included in the decisions about fundraising, events, lunch, or anything else? Then attend this meeting! This is still a very new PSO. It was created at the beginning of the school year and we are off to a great start but still have a lot of work to do. My goal as PSO President this year is to build the PSO. We would love to see more people, new people, old people, all people! Whether you are a founding family or a new family, we can use your help. Let’s build our base this year so that we can work on being very productive in our following years. I look forward to seeing you again, or meeting you, at that next meeting!
As always, if you should need to get a hold of me, or have any questions, I can be reached at:

I am at school in the morning frequently and I welcome people to stop in and chat. If you see the red jeep, stop in and say hi. I look forward to working for you and with you in 2018. I wish you a very happy and healthy new year! Enjoy the rest of your break. See you all next week.
