This year’s Middle School Mixer will once again be held at KTR on Friday, October 27 from 6-8pm. KTR is located at 1050 E Pecos Rd, Chandler, AZ 85225. This is a closed event open only for Lincoln Prep Middle School students. They have several fun indoor activities that every kid will enjoy! We encourage you to purchase your tickets in advance. Tickets are $15 per student and can be purchased through the Payment Portal.

KTR requires a waiver to be signed for every student. Once you purchase your tickets, you will receive an email that prompts you to fill out the waiver. Make sure to do that before you arrive. Tickets at the door will cost $20 per student and a parent must be there to sign the waiver. There will be no in-and-out privileges. Students should expect to stay the entire time once dropped off and if they leave the event, they will not be allowed back in. As in past events, cell phones will be checked at the door and a phone will be available with chaperones in case of emergencies. Volunteers Needed for All Things Homecoming

Parents, Homecoming will be a success with your help!  We need volunteers for the Tailgate before the football game on Friday, September 15. You will help with our spirit item giveaway and entrance fees at the gate. If you can help see the sign up.

If you can’t help at the game Friday, we need parents to help set up and clean up for the High School Dance on Saturday, September 16. See the sign up for times and needs.

Finally, if you are unable to help in person, please consider donating refreshments for the dance. You can find that sign up here.

Homecoming Tailgate

All Lincoln Families (Archway and Prep) are invited to join us for our second annual Homecoming Tailgate at the football game on Friday, September 15th. Tailgate starts at 6:30pm and the game starts at 7pm. The first 100 Lincoln students in the gate receive a Lincoln spirit item. Grab dinner for purchase at the Detroit Coney Grill Food Truck as well as other concession on site. Spirit t-shirts for the whole family will also be available for purchase during the game. Entry fee is free for all Lincoln students, $5 for adults and $2 for non-Lincoln students. Purchase your tickets ahead of time to get through the entry faster.

Volunteers Needed for 7th Grade Social Hour

We are looking for a few 7th Grade parents who can help during the event on September 13 from 11:30am-1pm. Volunteers will help as chaperones, hand out pizza and water and set up and clean up. Teachers will also be on hand for the event. If you can help, please sign up. You must have clearance through Raptor to volunteer.  We also ask that you please do not bring younger siblings while volunteering.

7th Grade Social Hour

7th Graders! Enjoy hanging out with your friends, open gym time, and eating pizza on Wednesday, September 13, in the Gym. Parents, this is a free event, no sign up necessary. 7th Grade Students will have the chance to socialize with their friends from 11:50am-12:40pm.  Yes!, it starts during school and continues after.  Plan to pick up your kids at the normal dismissal doors on the East side of the building just a few minutes later than normal as this event does run 10 minutes past dismissal. Please plan accordingly, so students are aware of when to head to the pick-up site. Pizza from Costco and water will be provided!

Help our Teacher Appreciation Luncheon

The Teacher Appreciation Committee is working to plan special luncheons throughout the year to support and encourage our amazing staff.  If you have a connection with a restaurant that may want to help cater a Wednesday lunch, please let the Teacher Appreciation Lead, Liz Ashcraft know, psoteacherapp@lincolnprep.org. We also provide cakes and small gifts to celebrate the staff who have birthdays each month.  Finally, the PSO Teacher Appreciation committee helps stock a snack pantry for teachers with non-perishable “grab and go” snacks teachers can munch on between classes. Families can drop off snack donations in the wagon located in the front office at any time and we will get the snacks organized in the pantry for the teachers to enjoy. 

This month we are providing the teachers with a catered lunch from Pita Jungle on August 23.  We appreciate any voluntary donations of gift cards, drinks, fruit, or desserts.  Please sign up if you can help with the lunch this month. Middle School Parent & Guardian Happy Hour

Please join your PSO members, our Headmaster Mr. Julian, and other faculty for an evening celebrating the beginning of another school year. We look forward to meeting new Middle School parents and reconnecting with returning parents. Located at Ginger Monkey Gastropub on Monday, August 14 from 5:30-7:30 pm. Appetizers will be provided. Other food and drinks are available for purchase. This is an adult only event. We hope to see you there!
