Volunteers Needed for Athletics

Athletics is looking for volunteers at all High School Volleyball games. We need several adults to help make these games run smoothly.

The first thing needed is a volunteer for checking e-ticket purchases at the door. Sign up if you can help with this.

The second thing needed is someone to help with running the clock (actually very easy) and keeping the scorebook during the volleyball game. Someone with knowledge of volleyball scoring is needed for this task. Sign up to volunteer at individual games.

Finally, Athletics is looking for 2 to 4 parents that can help with Football games checking e-tickets at the gate. See our football sign-up to help with this task.

Shopping with Amazon Smile and Frys

AmazonSmile is a simple way for you to support Lincoln Prep PSO every time you shop, at no cost to you. AmazonSmile is available at smile.amazon.com on your web browser and can be activated in the Amazon Shopping app for iOS and Android phones. When you shop with AmazonSmile, you’ll find the exact same low prices, vast selection, and convenient shopping experience as Amazon.com, with the added benefit that AmazonSmile will donate 0.5% of your eligible purchases to PSO. PSO uses this money to support social events and teacher appreciation. On your first visit to AmazonSmile, you will be prompted to select a charitable organization to receive donations from your future eligible AmazonSmile purchases. Search for Lincoln Preparatory Academy and add us as your organization of choice. Start shopping now and thanks for supporting PSO!

Fry’s – Did you know you could link your Fry’s card so that every time you shop, PSO gets a donation? Through the Fry’s Community Rewards program, its easy. Once you link your card to Lincoln Prep Academy, all you have to do is shop at Fry’s and swipe your Shopper’s Card. Find out how to link your card at the Fry’s Community Rewards Site. New Parents or parents coming from Archway, link your cards now and don’t forget to pass it on to family and friends who also want to help our school. PSO thanks you for your support.

Support our Teachers!

Our first Teacher Appreciation luncheon is coming soon and we need your help! On Wednesday, August 24th we will provide a catered Panera Luncheon to our wonderful teachers and staff. In order to round out our menu and help offset cost, we are requesting Panera gift card donations, a variety of drinks, and desserts (store bought please). If you would like more information or would like to donate, please see our sign up. Thank you for your help!

Welcome Back

PSO is excited for what we have planned this year. We have a couple of updates.

First, in lieu of our usual first day meet up, we are doing two happy hours with our parents to welcome everyone to the new school year, one night for Middle School parents and one night for High School parents. Please join your PSO members, our new headmaster, Mr. Julian, and other faculty for an evening celebrating the beginning of another school year. We look forward to meeting new parents and reconnecting with returning parents. Located at Ginger Monkey Gastropub. Appetizers will be provided. Other food and drinks are available for purchase. This is an adult only event. We hope to see you there!

Middle School Parents – Monday, August 15 from 5:30-7:30pm.

High School Parents – Monday, August 29 from 5:30-7:30.

Second, our first PSO meeting of the year will be Tuesday, August 9 at 8am in the Prep Conference Room in the front office. Come join us to meet our team and hear what we have planned this year!

SPIRIT NIGHT

Please come out and support the LPA Varsity Football team, THIS THURSDAY, March 24th, from 5-7pm at Chick-fil-A, located in the Crossroads Towne Center. 5% of the sales will go towards the cost of their summer training camp! This is an easy way to support our student athletes! Go Lightning!

Winter Sports Awards Ceremony

Our next Sports Award Ceremony is coming up on Wednesday, February 16th. We are looking to provide all of our amazing coaches/assistant coaches with a gift to show our appreciation for their incredible investment into our student athletes. Our goal is to provide EACH of them with a gift. Please show community by partnering with us and donate as many $10 Target cards as you would like. We will divide them equally for all seasons. Please drop off ALL $10 Target gift cards to the Front Office, by Wednesday, February 16, before dismissal, so that they will make it to the ceremony.

We also are needing donations of treats, supplies for the ceremony, as well as a few volunteers to help with setup and clean up. Please click the link below and see how you can help us with this event. Your help is greatly appreciated. Go Lightning!
